Our 74` Mack CF600… WTC Memorial Engine
Welcome to the FDNY Retirees Broward Division Official Website.
Our Mission
Our Never Forget mission is dedicated to honoring the memories of our fallen brothers and sisters of the fire department, law enforcement, EMS, and rescue services who sacrificed their lives due to their participation in the rescue and recovery efforts at the events of September 11th, 2001. We are retired FDNY firefighters, fire officers, and support personnel providing fire and life safety education, ceremonial support for uniformed funerals, and informational support and direction for members in need: through these efforts, we will keep the memories of our fallen heroes alive. We shall Never Forget.
The FDNY lost 343 members on 9/11/01 at the WTC. The NYPD lost 23, PAPD 37, NYS Police 1, NYS Court Officers 3, FBI 2, US Secret Service 1…and 1 PAPD K-9 – Sirius; subsequently, and sadly, an additional 250 firefighters and EMS members, more than 270 law enforcement officers, and scores of civilians have since succumbed to illnesses directly related to 9/11/01.
We are a registered 501c3 charitable organization.
