Welcome to the FDNY Retirees Broward Division Official Website.

We are new to this so be patient and come back often to see what we have added…

though it may take a while…

Our Mission

Our Never Forget mission is dedicated to honoring the memories of our fallen brothers and sisters of the fire department, law enforcement, EMS, and rescue services who sacrificed their lives due to their participation in the rescue and recovery efforts at the events of September 11th, 2001. We are retired FDNY firefighters, fire officers, and support personnel providing fire and life safety education, ceremonial support for uniformed funerals, and informational support and direction for members in need: through these efforts, we will keep the memories of our fallen heroes alive. We shall Never Forget.

The FDNY lost 343 members on 9/11/01 at the WTC. The NYPD lost 23, PAPD 37, NYS Police 1, NYS Court Officers 3, FBI 2, US Secret Service 1…and 1 PAPD K-9 – Sirius; subsequently, and sadly, an additional 250 firefighters and EMS members, more than 270 law enforcement officers, and scores of civilians have since succumbed to illnesses directly related to 9/11/01.

We are a registered 501c3 charitable organization.

Who We Are

Our group is comprised of retired members of the FDNY – the Fire Department of the City of New York. We are firefighters, fire marshals, fire officers, fire dispatchers, uniformed & civilian support personnel, and those who have a direct affiliation to the fire service. Currently, we have over 125 active members; many of whom are also members from sister chapters throughout the country.

The glass depicts an open book to page 343 and the names of ALL 343 FDNY Firefighters lost on 9/11/01.
